How it works

Tell one assistant. Every assistant knows.

1

Connect your AI apps

Add OpenPrefs to the assistants you already use in one easy step. You decide what each one can see and change.

2

Just talk normally

Mention your new favorite pizza place, your dining budget or when you don’t want to be disturbed. It’s saved, with a note saying why.

3

Every assistant gets it right

The next app you open already knows your preferences. No re-explaining, no contradictions.

See it in action

Book a flight without twenty questions

The agent doesn’t ask which seat or airline you like. It checks your OpenPrefs, and it only sees the travel settings you’ve allowed.

Real settings, not vague memories

Set it once. Every assistant follows it.

See who added each item. Ask any assistant “what should I watch tonight?” and it checks your list.

Time rulehome.quiet_hours

Quiet hours

Agents may not send notifications after 6:00 PM, every day.

Flip it off for a night, and every assistant sees the change.

Complex workflows

House rules your assistants actually follow

Give assistants permission to act, but only when you say. They read your rules before they do anything, and you can see every time they checked.

Exact answers, every time

Toggles are on or off. Budgets are real numbers. Ask any assistant “what’s my usual pizza order?” and it gives the same answer, not a guess.

Find anything as you type

Type “pizza”, “dining budget” or “Luigi’s” and see the setting or list right away. No menus to dig through.

See every change, undo any change

Each update shows which assistant made it and why. One tap puts it back. Budgets and home controls can wait for your OK.

Yours to take anywhere

Not locked inside one assistant. Switch apps or add new ones, and your preferences come with you.

Permissions and audit trail

You decide what every assistant can touch

Set a permission level for a whole space, then make exceptions for single settings. Six levels, from read only to ask before reading or writing. Every read and change is logged.

Nothing shared until you say so

A new assistant starts with no access. You pick which spaces it gets and whether it can read or also write.

One-tap undo

Every change shows who made it and why, and can be reversed.

FAQ

How is this different from ChatGPT or Claude memory?
Built-in memory stays inside one app. OpenPrefs works across all of them, and keeps exact settings you can see and edit, not summarized notes.
Do I need to be technical?
Not really. You connect an assistant in OpenPrefs, paste the line it gives you into your AI app, and pick what it can access. After that you just talk to your assistant.
Can an assistant spend my money or change my home without asking?
Only if you allow it. Assistants read your budgets and schedules before they act, and any space or setting can be set to ask you before changes.
Is this vibe coded?
No. We use AI in our development process but every line of code is reviewed by engineers with decades of experience at industry-leading tech companies. We adhere to industry-standards to keep our systems and your data secure.
